Feeling Pressured in Teen Relationships
Teen relationships are beautiful but complicated. You’re learning love, boundaries, communication, and vulnerability all at the same time. The pressure to behave a certain way — be chill, be confident, be available — can feel overwhelming.
Sometimes you feel like you must keep someone happy so they won’t leave. Sometimes you feel confused about what you actually want. Sometimes you feel scared to ask for respect because you fear being seen as "difficult."
All of this is normal. You’re not supposed to know how to love perfectly at this age. You’re still learning yourself.
A healthy connection doesn’t create anxiety. It creates comfort. If someone makes you feel small, guilty, or replaceable — that’s not love, that’s fear.
You deserve someone who values your emotional world, not someone who drains it.
